Publication engagement said to be much higher on an app than on a website
Word from Britain is that readers spend more time reading a publication using apps on a tablet than on the publication's own website. Dogeared and in the doghouse: hospital bans waiting room mags as health hazard
I guess it had to come. Women's College Hospital in Toronto is banning waiting room magazines, saying it is to prevent the spread of germs and viruses. Nowhere was it evident in the reporting that this is a real problem, just that old copies of Reader's Digest and Maclean's might be a conduit for germs passing from hand to hand. Reader loyalty clubs: when great content is not considered enough

PMB readership results hold steady for most titles; essentially the same as spring release
The average readership of all the magazines reported in the now-twice-annual Print Measurement Bureau (PMB data) was about 1.05 million readers, with reader-per-copy figures essentially the same as in the Spring 2009 results.
