Condé Nast shutters House & Garden in surprise move

Now, here's a stunner. House & Garden is folding. The 106-year-old H & G, which once boldly bestrode the industry and which has a circulation of nearly a million, will cease publication after its December issue and lay off its staff, it was announced today by Charles H.
