80's Stuff

The early 80's, London. There was this fantastic 'alternative' club scene going on which in fact was my whole life at the time. The Mud Club, The Dirt Box, Cha Cha's and The Beat Route to name but a few, with Jay Strongman on the decks mostly. You could go out nearly every night of the week, dance to some great music and generally have a brilliant time. This I did, much to my bosses dismay at the plumbing place where I worked on All Saints Road, W11. Good Times. Anyway, these 4 records were favs of mine and I wore the grooves out playing them to death. Although not heard much in the clubs they were certainly an off shoot of what was going on in those dark and exciting places. There was other vinyl of course but these are the ones that come to my mind instantly.
