St. Joseph sells Alaska & Yukon edition of Where to U.S. franchise-holder

St. Joseph Communications has sold its Where Alaska & Yukon title to Georgia-based publisher and franchise-owner Morris Visitor Publications, LLC. The acquisition adds the visitor title to MVP's roster of Alaska-based publications, including Alaska Magazine, The Milepost, the Alaska Journal of Commerce, The Chugiak/Eagle River Alaska Star, the Alaska Equipment Trader and Destination Alaska. Canadian Geographic outsourcing all but editorial and ad sales to St. Joe's

Yellow Media sells off Auto Trader and other classified publications and websites

Auto Trader magazine and New Home Guide are among the properties sold by the Montreal-based publisher of the Yellow Pages to global private equity firm Apax Partners for $745 million. According to a Canadian Press story, the transaction involved Yellow Media Inc.'s Trader Corp. division. Halifax's Metro Guide Publishing sold to its printer, Advocate Printing & Publishing

Metro Guide Publishing of Halifax has been sold to its printer, the Pictou-based Advocate Printing & Publishing Company, expanding the printer into the glossy print media market Advocate CEO Sean Murray confirmed the sale Monday, according to a story in the New Glasgow News.

Would a Lagardère sale have some impact on Transcontinental Media?

The French media company Lagardère says it may sell its international magazines in order to concentrate on its domestic publishing operation. Venerable Editor & Publisher folded by Neilsen Business Media

McGraw Hill puts BusinessWeek magazine up for sale

BusinessWeek magazine is apparently being sold. Rogers sells Ontario Out of Doors to Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters

Rogers Publishing has sold Ontario Out of Doors magazine to Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
