George Bain dies; wrote for Maclean's

George Bain, who for many years wrote for Maclean's magazine as well as anchoring the main political column for the Globe and Mail, has died in Halifax, aged 86. Bain, who recently lived in Mahone Bay, had become the first director of the journalism school at the University of King's College in Halifax in 1979 and became an officer of the Order of Canada in 2001.
